Born in Dallas, TX, where music was primary to his artistic upbringing, where Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Frankie Beverly, Rick James, Luther Vandross and Prince were the soundtrack to backyard barbecues and the famous Trinity Gospel Choir gave early vocal training.
